Ninety seconds, then the resume.
Pharmacist, MBA, and founder who has spent thirty years in healthcare and, alongside every role, built or deployed the technology that changed how the work got done. Two sentences, one story, five things you can check.
Two sentences
Brian Bastean, PharmD, RPh, MBA, has worked in retail and hospital pharmacy, taught, and spent years inside Johnson & Johnson's market access and reimbursement organization on oncology and biosimilars. He is now Founder and Managing Director of PharmAlliance Group, LLC, where he builds PharmAiVA and advises pharmaceutical and healthcare clients on AI strategy and implementation.
The two-track story
Most résumés show one line. This one runs on two rails from 1995 to now. On the healthcare rail: pharmacist, oncology practice, industry market access, and founder. On the innovation rail: pharmacist intervention software with Ortho-McNeil in 1995, an oncology pain IVR with Glaxo Wellcome and MD Anderson in 1996, Project Blue with IBM Watson at J&J, judging the CMS AI Health Outcomes Challenge in 2019, and PharmAiVA today. The technology never stopped, and it was never the job description.
